Memorabilia Related To DIMEBAG DARRELL Appears On EBAY

Would you pay $31 for a guitar pick? How about $10 for Thursday's edition of the Columbus Dispatch newspaper?

Those are among the bids on eBay for items related to heavy-metal guitarist Darrell Abbott, also known as "Dimebag." He was shot and killed Wednesday night in Columbus, Ohio, as the group began a concert. The gunman, who had made his way onto the stage, also killed three other people before being shot and killed by a police officer.

It didn't take long for memorabilia related to Dimebag and his group, DAMAGEPLAN — and his former group, PANTERA — to show up on the Internet auction site. More than a hundred items were up for bid by mid-day.

Several people are offering copies of the newspaper, with a headline reading: "Five killed in concert chaos."

There are photos, and posters — and a guitar autographed by Abbott himself. The bidding for that is topping $800.

One fan who was offering nothing but his sorrow over Abbott's death denounced others who were profiting from it — saying they're not true fans.
